Not everyone is fortunate enough to encounter a whale or dolphin at sea. So that's why we've teamed up with Barbara Todd, to bring the wonderful world of whales and dolphins to you!

Available to teachers and schools, this FREE kit includes lesson plans on whales and other interactive resources:

Whales, dolphins and porpoises resource manual: 
A wealth of background information, extensive references, internet sites, and a glossary.
Research booklet: 
Illustrates photo identification techniques and other scientific methods utilised by whale researchers.
20 Blackline master student activity sheets: 
Worksheets which reinforce and test students understanding of specific concepts.
Over 1,000 diverse and creative learning activities: 
The activities focus on science but also incorporate interdisciplinary subjects such as math, language, art and social studies.
Whale chart: 'Whales, dolphins and porpoises'
A large (23'' x 34'', 600mm x 850mm) colourful poster which illustrates comparative size, shape, and features of individual species.
Sea chart: 'To the depths of the sea'
Illustrates the range of ocean life at different depths and encourages ideas about food chains. (23'' x 17'', 600mm x 420mm)
8 concept charts:
Illustrate and emphasize specific concepts such as feeding techniques, social structures, migration, conservation, etc. (12'' x 17'', 300mm x 420mm). Each beautifully illustrated chart provides information which is specific to the chart along with key concepts, key words and suggested learning activities.

About Barbara Todd

The World of Whales Educational Resource Kit has been compiled and written by Barbara Todd. Barbara worked as an educator for many years before becoming involved in whale research. Since 1980, she has worked as a field researcher on projects studying whales in the Caribbean, United States and New Zealand.

If you are based overseas postage will be approximately NZ$20 per kit.
