Donation Box Collector


Counter-top collection boxes provide us with a reliable and steady source of income. We have about 500 boxes nationwide and need volunteers to help us place, manage and empty these.   We have boxes in Auckland, Wellington, Tauranga, Nelson and Motueka. If you can spare a few hours a month to help us with these please drop us a line.


Role

Position: Donation Box Collector
Reports to: CEO or Regional Co-ordinator
Time commitment: 4 - 8 hours a month
Task Location: Varies

Skills

You'll need the following skills and personality traits:
  • Be reliable, trustworthy, outgoing and friendly
  • Have good people skills
  • Be accurate and methodical with paperwork
  • Have money handling skills, though not essential
  • Be computer literate with access to a computer
  • Have a current drivers licence and access to a vehicle
  • Be able to prioratise and problem solve and self manage

Tasks

You will be assigned 10 - 20 boxes in your area.

  • Scout out new businesses in your area to place boxes
  • Monitor existing boxes for performance
  • Empty the boxes every 4 - 6 weeks
  • Drop off or count the money (supervised)
  • Complete paperwork
  • Bank money
